Srinagar: Two persons died in separate road accidents in Ganderbal and Pattan area of central and north Kashmir on Sunday.

A middle-aged man identified as Ghulam Rasool Lone son of Abdul Ahad Lone resident of Wawora Kupwara died in a road accident in Sonamarg area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

He was hit by a Truck bearing registration number JK03A-6599 at old truck yard Sonamarg.

He was immediately rushed to Primary Health center sonamarg referred to Srinagar but Lone was succumbed to his injuries on the way.

An Police officail said that truck driver arrested namely Mumtaz Ahmad Bati son of Gulzar Ahmad Bati resident of Hariganwan Kangan and registered a case FIR No 08/2018 US 279, 337 RPC in this regard and investigation is taken up.

In another accident a man was killed while two others sustained injuries in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An official said that a family travelling in a Maruti car met with an accident in Pappren pattan Baramulla resulting in the death of one of the male family member and two females sustained injuries.
However, the two female injured persons were shifted to hospital for the treatment
