LMD penalizes Easy Day store Channi Himmat for overcharging

JAMMU: Acting on the complaint of consumer for being overcharged while purchasing at Easy day store at Channi Himmat, the Department of Legal Metrology conducted checking of the said store and found the complaint as genuine and booked the case .

According to Deputy Controller Consumer Protection, the complainant filed a complaint that he purchased Nestle crunch nuts offered with MRP of Rs 150 but as an awared consumer he verified the billing and found that he was overcharged by Rs 10.

Inspector Rõhît Gupta reverified the online billing at store and a case was registered under relevant law and store was penalised with an amount of Rs 20,000 as a composition sum.
