63 schools skip Science exhibition in Kupwara, CEO to look into matter

Kupwara: Education department on Thursday had to face embarrasment after only 18 instutions participated in science  exhibition from 81 educational institutes of the district. The Science exhibition was organised at district institute of  education and training (DIET).
The exhibitiin was organised by education department Kupwara.

“Only 18 schools participated in the program. 63 educational institutes skipped the event,” sources told INS.

Joint director education North Kashmir and Chief education officer along with DIET staff members were present on this  occasion.
 Sources confided that they had earlier issued an order that ’81 instutions across district will participate in the science exhibition programme scheduled to be held on Thursday March 29.’
“Its unfortunate that those who skipped the event didnt even bother to inform us about non participation,” sources said.
 “Refreshment and lunch was prepared for 81 institutes but it was all wasted,” source said.
 Joint director education, north kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Wani said that the CEO will look into as to how there was a meagre parricipation.
“Due to busy schedule invitees may not have attended,” Wani said.
