Sopore : Two persons were detained during cordon and search operation in brath village of Sopore outskirts of Baramulla district on Tuesday.
The detained duo were identified as Khurshid Ahmed Mir Son of Abdul Rashid Mir and Mehraj Ahmed both residents of Brath Kalan Sopore.
police official told INS  that on receiving inputs about the presence of militants in the area the jointly cordon and search operation was launched by 22RR, SOG, j&k police and CRPF on Tuesday wee hours
Meanwhile Local sources said that panic has gripped after few gunshots were also heard during CASO.
After conducting searches for several hours,no militant was found in the area : officials in Army said
However Soon after detained of two persons people hits on streets and start protests and pelting stones on security forces, forces retaliated by lobbing some smoke shells and pellets to disperse the protesters in which four youth were injured and they were referred to near by hospital for treatment
