Bandipora: After no contact was established between government forces and militants during a Cordon and Search Operation in Hajin area here on wee hours of Monday, a youth from the locality has been detained for questioning.
The detained youth lives in Bonikhan Mohalla, the area were CASO was launched and has been identified as Irfan Ahmad Bhat.
A police officer confirmed the detention of the youth saying he has been detained for questioning purposes.
Bhat is still in police custody.
A joint team of police, CRPF and 13 RR in morning hours launched cordon and search operation in Bonikhan Mohalla of Hajin area following information that about presence of Militants in the area.
Sources said that the anti-militancy Operation was called off as no contact with militants was established.
