Srinagar: In a major political development in Pro freedom camp, Mohammd Ashraf Sehrai, replaced Syed Ali Geelani as the new Chairman of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH).

The change in guard was done at Geelani’s office cum residence at Hyderpora Srinagar, in an advisory board meeting of the party.

 

According to sources Sehrai will be caretaker chairman until formal elections are conducted in the party. However no formal date has been informed as yet, sources told INS.
Sehrai has been the ‘shadow of Geelani and have together formed the after parting ways from Jama’at-e-Islami’.
