Awantipora:  A shepherd has died after a mysterious blast in Barsoo area of Awantipora on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Ashiq Hussain Chopan of Gutroo tral.

SHO awantipora Nazir Ahmad Kuchay confirmed the death of the shepherd by a mysterious blast and identified as the shepherd from Tral.

“Investigation has been launched, he died on the spot,” he told INS.

The site is near an army firing range. .
