Militant killing aftermath: Internet speed reduced in Srinagar, other parts of Valley

Srinagar: Following the killing of three militants two of them Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen’s Mohammad Eisa Fazli alias Esha Roohula of Soura Srinagar and Syed Owais Shafi of Violoo, Kokernag, the internet speed in Srinagar and other parts of the Valley has been reduced to 2G speed. Sources said that the step has been taken to prevent protests. An official said that all mobile operators in Srinagar were directed to downgrade their high mobile Internet speed to 128 Kpbs as part of the precautionary measures. The militants were killed at Hakoora area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district at around 12:30 a.m.
