Clashes erupt near DC office Shopian

Shopian: Clashes between protesters and Government forces erupted Wednesday near Deputy Commissioners office in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

According to eye witnesses a large number of people came marching towards DC office and clashes broke out.

“Stone pelting is going on an and police has reached the scene to control situation,” eye witnesses told INS.

Kashmir valley is observing shutdown over the recent death of six persons in Shopian on Sunday evening by government forces including four civilians and two militants.
