Bandipora: Cordon and search operation launched in the wee hours of Saturday in twin mohallas Shakoordin and Bonmohala, Hajin town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora District has been called off after no contact with militants was made.
The anti militancy operation was launched after information about the presence of militants in the area and was a joint operation of Army’s 13 RR unit and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police.
During house to house searched protests broke out in the areas resulting to minor clashes in the area. Forces had to resort to firing tear gas shells to disperse the protesters.
