Civil society Handwara protests demanding death of Kathua girl’s rapists, murderers

Handwara : Members of Civil society Handwara on Sunday held a protest demonstration in main town Handwara and demanded severe punishment to those involved in gruesome rape-and-murder of an eight-year-old girl in Kathua, Jammu.
The protesters marched in Handwara main town and raised slogans “Asifa Ke Qaatilu Ko Saza Do Saza Do” (Punish murderers of Asifa).
The protesters holding banners in their hands, reading “Asifa K Qaatilu ko Phansi Do” (Hang the guilty).
“It’s really heart wrenching and inhuman level how Police officials raped and murdered an innocent minor girl,” protesters said.
They also termed the rally in Jammu, seeking release of the accused SPO Khjuria and using tri colour, as inhuman act.
“Accused must be punished for commenting such an inhuman act and trying to instil fear among nomads,” the protesters said.
“Accused Khajuria must be punished as the court in Pakistan awarded death to accused of Zainab, the 7-year-old who was raped and murdered,” the protesters said.
