Friday prayers allowed at Jamia after 3 weeks, Mirwaiz slams ‘Muslim collaborators’

Srinagar: Friday prayers were allowed at the historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar after three weeks.
Valley’s head priest and chairman of his faction of Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq addressed the faithful at the grand mosque after he was released from house detention.
In his address, Mirwaiz slammed the government for frequent lockdown of Jamia Masjid on Fridays.
“After 3 Fridays Juma prayers allowed at #JamaMasjid.Muslim collaborators under the influence of their masters need to remember that in Islam mosque is a place of collective worship and not just individual. It is a community centre for the Muslims where besides other things…,” Mirwaiz tweeted.
In an another tweet, he wrote, “We discuss &deliberate the issues facing us and the jumma Khutbareflects those issues & problems of the community and their redressal in the light of Quran sunnah and ethics.”
