Tral (Pulwama): The employees of the Wildlife department in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday staged a protest demonstration demanding immediate conduct of DPC meeting for promotions to different cadres on seniority basis.
The protest was organised by the J&K Wildlife Employees and Workers Union headed by its president Tariq Ahmad Sofi, for Shopian range employees.
The employees accused the authorities of delaying promotion rights of different cadres including forest guards and class 4th employees. They said that undue transfers are injustice with the employees of the department which need to be stopped.
The Union president Tariq Ahmad Sofi termed the SRO-520 by government as “unfortunate decision” played upon the daily wagers and unconfirmed employees in the name of regularisation.
“The SRO-520 is not a good decision which has played upon the daily wagers and unconfirmed employees,” Sofi told INS. “We consider it as an attempt to deceive the employees in the name of regularisation which is not acceptable to us.”
The protesting employees chanted slogans in favour of their job policy and against SRO-520 and demanded immediate revocation of SRO-520 and fulfillment of other demands.
