Kupwara avalanche: Rescuers find 3 bodies, 4 persons still missing

Srinagar: Five bodies trapped under snow have been recovered by joint teams of army, police, and SDRF along with local volunteers from the site of an avalanche near Sadhna Top in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A huge avalanche engulfed a TATA Sumo vehicle (JK09A-3249), which was on way to Tangdhar from Kupwara, at ‘Khooni Nallah’ at around 2.30 pm on Friday, burying up to 8 people under it.
One Ghulam Nabi Bhat of Kalmoona vilgam has been evacuated in injured condition and referred to Kupwara hospital, reports said.
