Bukhari was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of divisional-level Chief Minister’s  Super-50 Coaching Programme at Government Girls’ High School Hyderpora in Srinagar.

“Private coaching centres have become money minting centres and there is need to do away with them,” Bukhari said while appealing the parents not to overburden their children by sending them to schools as well as coaching centres.

“Parents should believe in us as we provide the quality education and have highly qualified teachers in our schools. There are few students who need extra care and may need some more coaching but overall there is no need for private coaching for the students,” he said.

The tutorial programme has been organized by Directorate of School Education in collaboration with NGOs Chinar International and AVANTI.

“1263 students have been selected for the coaching programme on the basis of merit and screening test and they will be taught in 13 coaching centres across Kashmir division,” Bukhari said.

Officials claimed that all the arrangements including availability of experienced staff, heating and lighting systems have been put in place for the smooth conduct of the programme. Bukhari said that  the teachers of the coaching centres who will show the best result will be awarded.
