rinagar: Hurriyat Conference led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday expressed surprise over Javaid Ahmad Mir’s quitting the amalgam.
A spokesman said Mir neither informed the forum nor the chairman about his decision or the reasons behind it.
“He straightaway went to the media where he ambiguously mentioned about some, so called ‘ideological differences’ without elaborating what that meant,” the spokesman said, adding Mir was free to do as he wills but the manner in which he has done it goes against the basis of organizational ethics and “is in bad taste.”
