Awantipora Police recovers abducted girl within 12 hours

Srinagar, November 20: A person (name withheld)  resident of Khrew area reported in Police Post  Khrew that his  sister (name withheld ) age about 15 years  had been kidnapped by some  unknown person. On receipt of this complaint  case FIR NO.  206/2017 under  Section 363 RPC was registered into the matter and prompt investigation was taken up.

During investigation it transpired that the said girl was kidnapped by one Pikul Sk@ Raju resident of Ajagarpara Murshidabad West Bengal.  It was was also learnt that the accused person had left for his native place alongwith the abductee and accordingly a team was deputed to Jammu and accused was arrested from Jammu bus stand where he had boarded a bus and thus the kidnapped girl was recovered within 12 hours and later on handed over to her parents.
