Srinagar, Aug 19: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has declared Wednesday, August 26, 2026 as a holiday and Saturday, December 19, 2026 as a working day for the court.

According to a notification issued by the Office of Registrar General at Srinagar, dated August 18, 2026, August 25, 2026 (Tuesday) which was earlier shown as a holiday on account of Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) for the High Court, has been declared as a “non-sitting day” for the Hon’ble Court.

In lieu of that, August 26, 2026 (Wednesday) has been declared as a “holiday”.

The notification further stated that December 19, 2026 (Saturday), which was earlier declared as a non-sitting day vide High Court Order No. 1313 of 2026/RG/NG-15(1) dated June 19, 2026, will now be observed as a “working day” for the Hon’ble Court.

This adjustment has been made in lieu of August 25, 2026.

The order has been issued for the information of all concerned.
