J&K Junior Swimmers compete at National Championships in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, August 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Junior Swimming Team is representing the Union Territory at the 52nd Junior National Aquatic Championships 2026 (Swimming), being held at the Kalinga Stadium here, competing against some of the country’s top young swimmers.

The prestigious national-level championship is being conducted under the aegis of the Swimming Federation of India, bringing together young swimmers from across the country.

The Jammu and Kashmir contingent secured its place in the national championship following selection trials conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council. The selected swimmers are representing the Union Territory at the championship with the aim of showcasing their talent and competing against some of the country’s best junior swimmers.

The participation of the J&K team at the national event is expected to provide valuable exposure and experience to the young athletes while further strengthening swimming in the Union Territory.
