Srinagar: After remaining closed for five consecutive Fridays, congregational prayers will be held in the historic Jama Masjid in Old city Srinagar.
Chief Cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has reached the grand mosque and is delivering the friday sermon.
Jamia Masjid remained closed after authorities had imposed restrictions in parts of city to thwart protests.
