Srinagar, July 31: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jammu and Kashmir, has directed candidates selected in the Fire and Emergency Services Department under Order No. 823 of 2020 dated October 4, 2020, to appear for a height measurement test on August 3 as part of an ongoing investigation into the recruitment process.
According to an official communication issued by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Police Station ACB Central, Sidhra, Jammu, the verification exercise is being conducted in connection with FIR No. 01/2025 registered at Police Station ACB Central, Jammu.
The Director General, Fire and Emergency Services, has been asked to ensure that all selected candidates presently posted in different districts report to their designated venues at 10:00 am on August 3.
As per the schedule, 82 candidates from Jammu, Kathua and Samba districts have been directed to report at District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu, while 38 candidates from Rajouri and Poonch will report at DPL Rajouri. Twenty-nine candidates from Udhampur and Reasi have been asked to report at DPL Udhampur.
Candidates from Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban have been directed to report at DPL Doda, while 130 candidates from Srinagar, Budgam and Ganderbal will undergo verification at PCR/DPL Srinagar. A total of 124 candidates from Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara have been asked to report at DPL Baramulla, while 93 candidates from Anantnag, Shopian, Pulwama and Kulgam will report at DPL Anantnag.
The ACB said the height measurement exercise forms part of the investigation into the 2020 recruitment process in the Fire and Emergency Services Department. The district-wise list of candidates has also been circulated along with the official communication. (KNT)
