Sringar, Jun 28: Save sharda Committee Kashmir Regd chairman Ravinder Pandita called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Lok Bhawan in Srinagar. He was accompanied by Ajaz Khan, coordinator.
Pandita invited him for upcoming events at Sharda temple LoC Teetwal Kashmir to which LG agreed for annual sharda divas event in September, later this year.
The LG agreed to allot transit accommodation for sharda yatris at Amarnath yatri bhawan at Pantachowk. Provision of yatri niwas at Evacuee land at Teetwal on lease basis to committee and fixing of solar lighting system for Temple & Gurudwara was also discussed.
On this occasion, Ravinder Pandita presented him with a sharda shawl and portrait of sharda temple LoC Teetwal and prashad.
The LG appreciated the efforts of Ajaz Khan & other locals in reclaiming lost heritage that has boosted border & religious tourism.
