Jammu, Feb 3: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Jammu and Kashmir for three days from February 5 to 7 to review the security situation, interact with political leadership and inaugurate key development projects, official sources said.
Sources said that Shah will arrive in Jammu on the evening of February 5 and hold meetings with political leaders at Lok Bhavan the same day.
On February 6, the Home Minister will visit the International Border area of Hiranagar in Kathua district to assess border security measures. Later in the day, he will chair a high-level meeting in Jammu to review the overall security scenario in the Union Territory.
On February 7, Shah will travel to Srinagar, where he is expected to launch several development initiatives before departing for Chhattisgarh later in the day.
The review meeting will be attended by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, senior officials of the Union Home Ministry, heads of security forces, intelligence agencies, and top civil and police officers of the Union Territory. (KNC)
