Police seize 4 tractors alongwith trolleys for illegal mining

Budgam Police seize 19 vehicles to curb illegal mining in Jan

Kathua, Jan 07: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, Jammu and Kashmir Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Mohita Sharma has seized a total of 04 vehicles i.e. (04 Tractor alongwith Trolleys) in the jurisdictional area of P/S Billawar, which were being used for illegal mining/transportation of the construction material.

On 06/01/2026 police team led by SHO PS Billawar Insp. Zaheer Mushtaq under the guidance of SDPO Billawar Neeraj Padyar JKPS while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area, has seized 04 vehicles (Tractor Trolleys bearing Reg. No.s Jk08N-8851, JK08M-4547, JK08K-8844 & one without any Reg. No) indulged in illegal mining / transportation of construction material without any legal permission.

The above mentioned 04 vehicles (04 Tractor Trolleys) have been seized by Kathua Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Kathua for further legal action.
