MeT predicts intense showers, heavy rain in Jammu parts

Srinagar, Aug 06: The weatherman here on Wednesday predicted intense showers in five districts of Jammu division.

As per the Meteorological department, generally cloudy with light to moderate rain and thundershower is expected today at many places of J&K with possibility of intense showers and heavy rain at few places of Jammu Division, especially in Rajouri, Reasi, Udhampur, Jammu & Kathua.

From August 07-11, generally hot & humid weather is expected with possibility of brief & intense showers at few places.

From 12-15, fresh spells of light to moderate rain and thundershower at many places with possibility of heavy rain at isolated places of Jammu division.

Moreover, in its advisory, the MeT said there is a possibility of intense and heavy rain at few places of Jammu Division.

Flash floods at few vulnerable places with Landslides, Mudslides & shooting stones are expected.

Also, the farmers have been advised to continue farm operations till 11th August.
