Water supply to remain affected on Oct 30-31 in Sgr areas

Srinagar, Jun 30: The government on Monday said that the water supply in many areas across Srinagar hall remain affected on Tuesday (July 01, 2025).

According to a public notice, Water Works Division Srinagar, said that the due to some urgent repairs of Sindh Power Canal (PDC) being undertaken by CMD Ganderbal on 01-07-2025, the raw water supplies to Water Treatment Plants Alusteng & Rangil will get severely affected and subsequently potable water supply shall remain affected in major parts of Srinagar City and the adjacent areas.

The affected areas include Zakoora, Gulab Bagh, Alusteng, Shuhama, Hadoora, Chatterhama, Khalmulla, Habak, Naseem Bagh, Busserbagh, Malla Bagh, Pandach, Buchpora, Soura, Anchar, Bohlouhpora, Zoonimar, Nowshera, Bagh | Ali Mardan Khan, Zadibal, Hawal, Alamgari Bazar, Rajouri Kadal, Nallahmar, Nawakadal, Bohori Kadal, Nowhatta, Lal Bazar, Hazratbal, Sadribal, Parts of Rainawari, Nigeen, Saida Kadal, Karan Nagar, Chattabal, Kawdara, Eidgah, Mahrajgunj, Zaina Kadal, Saidpora, Bemina, Firdous Abad, Parts of Batmaloo, Qamarwari, ZainaKoot, Noorabad, Umerabad and adjacent areas.

“General Public is hereby notified through the medium of this notice to store sufficient supply of water to meet the demands. For any complaints/grievances regarding scarcity / shortage of water supply, general public are requested to contact the PHE Provincial Control Room which remains functional round the clock for the service of the general public,” the notice reads.

Meanwhile, the Provincial control room numbers include 0194-2477207, 0194-2452047 & 9419413914, 9419413915.
