Srinagar, Apr 30: Indian Army troops responded to fresh unprovoked small arms firing by Pakistan forces from across the Line of Control and International Border during the intervening night of April 29 and 30.

An Army offical said that firing was reported from Pakistan posts opposite Baramulla and Kupwara districts along the LoC, as well as from across the International Border in the Pargwal sector.

He said Indian troops responded in a measured and appropriate manner to the provocation.

There were no immediate reports of any injury or damage on the Indian side. (JKNS)
