Srinagar, Apr 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to Saudi Arabia, spoke with Home Minister Amit Shah over phone on the Pahalgam terror attack while the Home Minister called an emergency meeting at his home in Delhi, sources said.

Sources told KNO that the PM asked Amit Shah to take all suitable measures, and also visit the attack site.

Earlier, terrorists attacked a group of tourists in the Baisarana village of Pahalgam today afternoon. Many are feared dead while several injured in the attack, officials said.

Meanwhile, Amit Shah called an emergency meeting at his home in Delhi after terrorists attacked tourists in Pahalgam. Sources told KNO that IB Chief, Home Secretary and other senior officials are present in the meeting.

They said that Amit Shah also spoke to LG Manoj Sinha, and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah after the attack.

CRPF DG, Director General Jammu and Kashmir Police, and Army officials also joined the meeting through video conferencing.
