SSP Kulgam chairs crime, security review meeting

Srinagar, Apr 12: In order to review the crime and security scenario of district Kulgam, SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal chaired a meeting at Conference Hall DPO Kulgam.

The primary focus of the meeting was on addressing issues related to new criminal laws, NDPS, UAPA, CCTNS, data dynamic and assessing the overall security scenario in the district.

During the meeting, SSP Kulgam emphasized the importance of efficient law enforcement, proper investigation procedures, and the swift disposal of cases.

He directed officers to ensure a proactive approach in dealing with drug-related offenses under the NDPS Act and stressed the need for strict action against individuals involved in unlawful activities under the UAPA.

Further, SSP Kulgam said that the supervisory officers and SHOs must take all the measures to improve investigation with latest techniques and standard operating practices. Moreover, officers were directed to ensure safety and security of non-local labourers and employees.

Discussions also revolved around enhancing intelligence gathering, strengthening anti-drug initiatives, and improving coordination among different security agencies to ensure a robust security environment in the district.

The officers were instructed to maintain heightened vigilance, particularly in sensitive areas, to counter any potential threats to peace and stability.
