Doda Police organize debate competition on “Nasha Mukt Ahbiyan”

Doda, June 13: District Police Doda on Friday organized a debate competition programme under Civic Action Programme (CAP 2024-25) on “NASHA MUKT AHBIYAN” at Govt. Higher Secondary School Doda.

On directions and guidelines of Sandeep Mehta, SSP Doda, a debate competition was organized by Ajay Anand DySP Hqrs Doda at Govt Hr. Sec. School Doda under “Nasha Mukt Abhiyan” under CAP 2024-25 to make the students aware on drug abuse in which nine students of Hr. Sec. School Doda participated.

Among the students who were adjudged as 1st, 2nd and 3rd include Danish Farid S/O Farid Ahmed student of class 11th, Musarrat Ahmed S/O Mohd Amin Student of class 11th and Nittan Singh S/O Dev Raj student of class 12th of Govt. Higher Secondary School Doda were given 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively while as other participants were given a prize with certificate of participation.

On this occasion, DySP Hqrs Doda Ajay Anand also delivered lecture on the drug abuse, cybercrime, traffic violations with special focus on de-radicalization and other social crime in the society.

DySP Hqrs Doda emphasized upon the students to channelize their energy in positive direction and devote their time in studies and sports which has a key role to build their future career and also for better and healthy society.

It was also urged upon the participants to cooperate the Police in eradicating the menace of drug and other evils from the society. Nearly 200 students including teaching staff attended the debate competition and the DySP Hqrs Doda highly appreciated the outstanding performance of the students who participated in this event.

Principal of Govt Hr. Sec. School Doda Dr. Rishi Kumar Manhas along with staff as well as the students of the school were impressed with the programme and appreciated the role of Police for organizing such awareness programme.

Among others, SHO PS Doda Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday and SHO Women PS Doda Farooq Ahmed were also delivered lectures on the occasion and make the student aware about the drug abuse and other social evils.
