Reports said that the Lieutenant Governor laid a wreath and paid homage to the BSF braveheart Sub Inspector Md. Imteyaz, who attained martyrdom during unprovoked firing by Pakistan along the International Boundary in the R.S. Pura area of Jammu.

“I salute the supreme sacrifice of our BSF braveheart Sub Inspector Md. Imteyaz. His valour and sacrifice will never be forgotten. The entire nation stands firmly with the family of the martyr in this hour of grief,” LG Sinha said.

Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary, along with Minister Satish Sharma, also attended the wreath-laying ceremony and honoured the fallen officers.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said, “May the departed souls rest in peace.”
