Srinagar, May 8: Director School Education Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Ittoo, on Thursday said that all government and private schools in select areas of Kashmir shall remain closed for two days as a precautionary measure.

Director school education said, “All Government and Private Schools of Baramulla, Kupwara, Sub-Division (Gurez) and schools falling in the proximity of Srinagar and Awantipora Airport shall remain closed on 9th and 10th of May 2025 as precautionary measures.”

The decision has been taken in view of the current security situation and to ensure the safety of students and staff, he added.
