Srinagar, May 7: Three civilians lost their lives during the night of May 6-7, as Pakistan Army resorted to indiscriminate firing and artillery shelling along the Line of Control and International Border opposite Jammu and Kashmir.

In a statement as per news agency JKNS, the Indian Army said that the shelling was unprovoked and targeted civilian areas.

“During the night of 06-07 May 2025, Pakistan Army resorted to arbitrary firing including Artillery shelling from posts across the Line of Control and IB opposite J&K. Three innocent civilians lost their lives in indiscriminate firing/shelling,” the statement reads.

It added that the Indian Army is responding in a proportionate manner to the aggression.
