Srinagar, Mar 12: The Jammu and Kashmir government has stated that the J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) does not plan to reduce the application fee collected for various recruitment examinations, as per an official response in the Legislative Assembly.

The response was given to a question raised by Showkat Hussain Ganie during the 2nd session of the Legislative Assembly 2025. The legislator had asked whether the government intended to reduce the application fee collected by JKSSB for recruitment exams and, if not, the reasons for the same.

In its reply, the government stated, It is clarified that the J&K Services Selection Board doesn’t intend to reduce the application fee being collected for various recruitment examinations, as the entire Administrative expenses for conducting different exam-related activities are to be covered from the fee collected into the Revolving Fund in absence of any Budgetary Support.
