Srinagar, Feb 28: A minor slipped to death into the river Jhelum in Baniyari Sharki village of North Kashmir Bandipora district on Friday.

An official told JKNS that a 10 year old girl slips into river Jhelum at Baniyari Sharki village of Bandipora.

He said that soon after the incident local residents and J&K police launched a rescue operation to retrieve the body.

He said that the later dead body was retrieved while investigation in this regard has been taken up.
