Srinagar, Feb 24: A day after Mehbooba Mufti accused the Speakerof imposing martial law in Assembly, National Conference on Monday asked Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti to go through the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the House before scoring brownie points.

Citing the Rules that prohibit members to give publicity to any notice on business of the House before it is admitted by the Speaker, NC spokesman Imran Nabi Dar asked Mehbooba Mufti to read the Rules before trying to score points.

Before making uncouth remarks on J&K Assembly speaker, I would advise @MehboobaMufti to go through the rules of procedure and conduct of Business in J&K Assembly before trying to score brownie points over private members bill. This is question of sanctity and decorum of the House,” Dar said in a post on X.

As per Rules 368 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the House, no member or any other person shall give publicity to any notice regarding business of the House before it is admitted by the Speaker and circulated to members.
