Poonch, Feb 12: Combined forces launched a massive cordon and search operation at nearly a dozen locations in Poonch district on Monday following reports of suspicious movement, officials said.

As per KNT, the operation was carried out in various parts of Mendhar, Surankote, and Gursai.

The Special Operations Group (SOG) of the local police, along with the CRPF, cordoned off areas including Lower Chanan, Sair, Sanai forest, Chiti Bhati, and Fazalabad in Surankote. Similar operations were conducted in Darai forest and nearby locations in Mendhar, as well as Khokhar Mohalla, Kandi, and Galhutta in Gursai.

As per the latest reports, the search operations were still ongoing.
