An official said morning flights at Srinagar airport have been delayed due to low visibility triggered by dense fog across the Valley.

He said that the flights have been delayed till 11 am, and as soon visibility improves, flight operations will resume.

Dense fog across the Valley has reduced the visibility, disrupting surface traffic also. Commuters faced difficulties in driving across all major roads due to poor visibility in the morning.

Weatherman has predicted heavy snowfall across the Kashmir Valley from today evening till January 6, while authorities have issued a yellow alert in view of the weather forecast.
