Sharing details, independent weather forecaster Faizan Arif said, the weather system is predicted to intensify tonight, potentially leading to snowfall in some plains during the night or early tomorrow morning.

He said that while light snow spells are possible in certain plains with a 40% likelihood, moderate snowfall may occur in a few areas with a 20% chance.

“In the Jammu region, no significant weather activity is expected. However, parts of Kargil district are likely to witness light to moderate snowfall over the next 36 hours,” he said.

He added that weather conditions in Jammu and Kashmir are expected to improve from tomorrow afternoon, with forecasts predicting dry weather for the following 10 days.
