Jammu, Dec 07: One person was killed and another injured when a vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in Reasi district on Saturday.

Official sources told GNS that an Eeco vehicle (JK20B 2493), on way from Tharal towards Shikari, skidded off the road and rolled about 200-feet off the road/embankment in Mahore area of the district. One person, Noor Jamal (36) son of Noor Hussain of Shikari died on the spot while another person namely Abdul Rashid son of Ghulam Qasim sustained serious injuries and was shifted to CHC Mahore by locals and police who rushed to the spot soon after the accident near Sharki at about 0910 hours.

A police official confirmed the death of the individual as well as injuries to another person in the accident and said that a case has been registered and further investigations taken up.
