An official told KNO that upper reaches including Gurez, Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Karnah and Zojila Pass experienced fresh snowfall.

He said that many roads, including Bandipora-Gurez and Srinagar-Ladakh roads, were blocked due to accumulation of snow.

The official added that snow clearance operation has been initiated this morning to restore it and ensure the roads are cleared.

According to the meteorological department weather is expected to remain dry from December 4 to 7. “On December 8, there will be generally cloudy conditions with light rain and snow in higher reaches at isolated places. From December 9 to 12, dry weather is again anticipated.”
