In an appeal, the Rehbar-e-Janglat employees requested the regularization of their jobs and an increase in their pay grade, in line with other Rehbar schemes.

The employees said that they were registered by the then Chief Minister Omar Abdullah himself in 2014, but due to the floods, the policy could not be implemented.

“We have already completed our 5-year probation period in 2022, but our regularization has been delayed by more than 2 years,” they said, adding that “every day, we face many problems. Some of us have crossed the age limit for further employment, and our families are suffering because of this delay.”

They urged the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to prioritize their case and take action to regularize their services and revise their pay grade. “We are already facing hardships and hope that this issue will be resolved soon,” they said.
