Defence sources told KNO that the terrorists seem to have carried out a stand-off attack by using a sniper. “One soldier sustained bullet wounds at the Sunjwan camp. A few gunshots were heard in the area and nothing thereafter,” they said.

Meanwhile, a massive search operation has been launched in the area to track down the terrorists. “Tall buildings in the area are being thoroughly searched,” defence officials said. They said that the area has also been sealed and massive frisking is underway. The area is manned by the army’s 36 Infantry Brigade. “Drones have also been pressed into service,” they said.
