Leh, Aug 22: At least six persons died and 22 others were injured after a bus they were travelling in met with an accident and plunged into a 200-meter-deep gorge at Durbuk area of Leh.

An official told KNO that a bus traveling from Leh to Eastern Ladakh plunged into a gorge at Durbuk in Ladakh, resulting into the on spot death of six passengers and injuries to 22 others.

He said some of the injured are critical and have been rushed to the District Hospital SNM Leh for treatment.

He said that a rescue operation is underway.
