Srinagar, Aug 11: One of the civilian who during gunfight at Ahlan forest of Kokernag was critically injured succumbed to his injuries on Sunday morning.

A top police officer told GNS that one among the two civilians who was injured critically succumbed to his injuries this morning in a hospital.

Yesterday, a fierce gunfight took place between militants and security forces in Ahlan forests in Kokernag area. During firefight two army soldiers lost their life and also two civilians recieved bullet wounds.

The search operation in the area is still underway to track down the militants.
