Srinagar, Aug 07: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Wednesday confirmed RR Swain as the Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to an order, Swain’s tenure as DGP has been confirmed from the date he assumed charge of the post.

“With the approval of the Competent Authority, Shri R. R. Swain, IPS (AGMUT: 1991), currently holding the additional charge of the post of Director General of Police, Jammu & Kashmir, is hereby appointed to the post of Director General of Police, Jammu & Kashmir with effect from the date of assumption of charge and till 30.09.2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier,” reads the order.
