DIG SKR Anantnag visits Kulgam, chairs security, crime review meeting

Anantnag, Jul 30: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, South Kashmir Range Anantnag, Javaid Iqbal Matoo Tuesday visited district Kulgam to review the security scenario, anti- terrorist operations and other crime works.

During his visit, DIGP SKR, as per a statement, held a meeting with SSP Kulgam and other officers of District Police Kulgam, Army and discussed different security measures taken for the maintenance of overall peace in the district.

SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal gave a detailed presentation regarding the security scenario of the district and briefed the DIG about current situation in the district including anti-terrorist operations, maintenance of law & order, measures taken to eradicate drug menace and security arrangements put in place for peaceful conduct of ongoing SANJY-2024.

DIG SKR urged upon the officers to strengthen the general security grid of the district to ensure peace and also urged speedy investigation of the cases in a professional manner for its logical conclusion.

At the outset of meeting, DIG SKR Anantnag appreciated the efforts of Kulgam police, Army and other security agencies in maintaining peaceful atmosphere in the district.
