Anantang, Jul 16: A minor boy drowned to death while taking a bath in Hassanpora area of Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday, officials said.

An official told KNO that the boy namely Mohammad Salim (9) son of Ghulam Mohammad Ganaeof Hasanpora drowned in river Vishow while taking a bath.

He said that soon after the incident rescue operation was launched and later his body was retrieved from the river.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident.
