Srinagar, Jun 13: The commuters here had to face tremendous hardships as the ongoing work outside the busiest place near Nishat—a Mughal Garden forced them to remain stuck in the traffic mess for a long.

According to INS, the work under the Smart City project is going on outside the garden, due to which a less space is available for the commuters to traverse.

However, it takes a lot of time to the commuters to travel on a few meters of the road stretch.
“It usually takes less than a minute to cross the road stretch outside Nishat garden, but since the major portion of the road is blocked due to the ongoing work, the commuters face tremendous hardships to travel on the road stretch as it takes almost 15-20 minutes to cross the stretch amidst the huge rush of tourists and local vehicular movement,” a commuter said.

The owners of the business unit near the location also echoed similar views and demanded the authorities to complete the work at the shortest possible time so that the people here could heave a sigh of relief.
