LS Polls: Anantnag-Rajouri registers over 35% voter turnout till 1 pm

Srinagar, May 25: Anantnag-Rajouri constituency registered a voter turnout of over 35 percent till 1 pm as polling is underway in the 6th phase of the Lok Sabha polls.

An official told KNO that Anantnag-Rajouri constituency registered 35.61 percent voter turnout till 1 pm.

He said that the turnout is picking up and witnessing a substantial surge as voters are standing in long queues outside their respective polling stations across the constituency.

He said that elaborate arrangements have been made to facilitate the voters and polling personnel for smooth and successful conduct of elections.


Polls to Anantnag-Rajouri seat were earlier scheduled in the third phase, however, due to logistics the polls were deferred to sixth phase today.
